Seriously, Colby Rasmus at 115? That ranking made me laugh out loud. The guy has all the natural talent in the world, but in baseball it really doesn’t matter if you have no work ethic, don’t really enjoy playing baseball and a two cent brain.

Request for next year – can you expand your stat projections to include ABs, 2Bs, 3Bs, BBs, Ks, ERs, etc.? Those come in handy for people in points-based leagues with customized scoring. I’m tired of getting screwed by Rotowire’s projected stats, but that’s all I have right now! Keep up the good work.

Is 150-152 the last off ramp for serviceable 2nd basemen?

I’m targeting Espinosa (drafting 180 Yahoo). I want to wait till 140-ish to draft him, but if i screw it up do I go right to this triumvirate?

Grey, love the site its been my number one source for laughs and insight for years now. Would you consider doing a mock for 10 teamer? I have the 10 pick and I think this year plays well for going Longoria-Fielder in yahoo leagues.

@MKEeast, Yeah, you remember correctly. I was trying to do an anti-Grey strategy, since I figured everybody would be following his recommendations.

As it was, it was bloody hell for the season trying to squeeze any offense out of my team. I think I eventually ended up in 4th(?), which wasn’t bad considering I was near the bottom earlier in the season.

But yeah, I won’t ever try that “strategy” again. It sucks and it sucked.

I have the 9th pick and its pretty slim pickings with 80 of the top players already off the board with the exception of those never eligible to be kept because of draft position history.

@The Talented Mr. Dope Man, Here’s me. Here’s Adam Wainwright. There’s the Grand Canyon between us. Here’s me running away from my side of the Grand Canyon (hopefully the south side, because there’s a snack bar).

Love the man’s talent, but since I take pitching late, I have to get super-reliable guys. For me, he’ll be too much risk to take anywhere in the first 10 rounds (which is where I assume he’ll go in my main draft).

If Pierre can get on base than he might just make a push to win the leadoff spot. Rollins and Vic dont have the approach to hit first, they can take their swing for the fence/pop-up approach to 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th etc spots in the order.

@PublicEnemy#1, I think in a QS league you should raise the rankings of pitchers for teams with bad run support, like Felix, Cain, etc. Conversely you’ve got to lower the rankings on guys that pitch for high-scoring offenses, like NYY, TEX, etc. Just watch out for pitchers that aren’t able to consistently go 6 IP, like Morrow, Scherzer, and other young guys with high pitch counts.

@Ed Nugent, in my league last place get the second to last pick (1st place gets the last). then the 2nd to last team get the 4th to last pick (2nd place get the 3rd to last). 5th place gets the first pick. 6th place gets the 2nd pick and so on. its basically a fight for 1st and a fight for 5th. it works well in our league.

HANK BLALOCK among the top 300 players in baseball .

a quick check over at mlb.com reveals that he is now listed among
historical players (2002-2009) .

makes my decision , as to which , of you guys , i should give up ,
much easier .

kudos for the superb job of getting this ranking stuff all together .
it’s part of the reason that February Grey is ranked # 1 on MY list .
