@Chris, Yeah I just spotted it when reading these pitcher pairing posts preparing for my draft.

I find auctions tough too, guys always seem to go for more than I want earlier, so I end up having to spend on some mid-tier guys I don’t want so much. Gimme a stud! lol

Funny you should mention it, but that’s actually where I did end up finding my roto auction league. And we just drafted yesterday too. Unfortunately my team stinks, lol. Drafted a few top 10 players early, but then I went into super bargain mode, and ended up finishing the draft with $15 left on the table. Oofa.

Hey Grey! 10 team 5×5 HTH. Keeper values are re-assigned every 2 years based on CBS Top 300… kind of a weird format but that’s ok.

I like my roster a lot. Guys I’m pretty set on keeping are C. Santana, Hosmer, Cano, Tulo, Ryan Zimm, Lawrie, Stanton, Jennings, Berkman, Lester, Jordan Zimm and Anibal. I have 30 points left to spend which could go towards Jered Weaver (25) + Freddie Freeman (5) OR Tommy Hanson (24) + Danny Espinosa (6).

What say you? Espinosa could take my MI spot OR Freeman could slide in at DH (assuming Hosmer 1B, Lawrie CI, and Berkman OF). Depending on which of those position players I keep, I’m looking to draft my last starting OF, starting MI or DH, depth, and pitching, pretty much.

@royce!, No, not a problem. In all scenarios, Grey says your last pick should be Peacock. I take that to mean, “Take someone from the Peacock area.” After all, if you play in a league with other Razzball readers, there won’t be enough Peacocks for all of you.

In response to my top 300 mock team I understand now what you meant about too much pitching.

I might opt for the end of my league’s snake–well hellooo operator–because it can (doesn’t all the time) help me to not reach for pitchers. Sometimes it appears a guy has fallen, but what if most other names in his tier are still available too? It isn’t just about that one guy…you’re saying it is about maximizing an overall player portfolio?

@Grey, I had both Parker and peacock in my NL only league for $1 each… So I lost them to the AL. luckily I get the rights to the player of my choice whom they were traded for. So I gnawed gio and Cahill with brand née contracts. NICE!! (borat voice)…
