@simply fred: Fred and HUgh, the players are already pre-loaded. NOt to speak for Fred, but but I think he means if you don’t like the Chone projections it is time consuming to replace them with another set – Razzball, BP, etc.

Chone was rated#1 among all the projection systems last year.

Keep in mind projection systems don’t necessarily do a great job in predicting what the league leading RBI total will be, but they do a superb job in telling you who will lead the league in RBI. They are conservative, but only because they have to be.

So in short, Chone is stellar for telling you who is going to win your league. A bit less stellar in predicting individual outcomes of the league leading players.

Hugh, I am a casual user of the War Room for snake drafts. If you are trying to get the standard War Room to work for your draft tomorrow, I will be happy to help you. However, it is pretty time consuming, and without prior working knowledge, I really think you won’t be happy with trying it for the first time tomorrow.

If you have a set of players for a standard 5X5 roto (say 13 hitter and 9 pitchers), send me the names, I will load them to a War Room spreadsheet. That will at least give you Grey’s projections. Also, the name you would like for your team.

OK, I am sure the answer is in here somewhere but I missed it so could you explain this to me like I am a 6 yr old…I tried to use the softwarer and don’t see roster lists for the teams and how do I select a player and put him on a team> Thanks, no pressure my draft is tomorrow!!

Thanks, that did it! Also, when we enter a “kept” value, do we also fill in the players salary? It doesn’t seem to work right if I just enter the Kept value, so I wanted to make sure my sheet was working.

@Sean: Hi Sean. Open up column BD on the War Room tab. There will be a formula in rows 1-12. Copy this down to row 14. Also make sure that you add spots for the 13th and 14th teams on the user Input tabs.

@Dan: Hi Dan. How many teams do you have? It only works “out of the box” for a 12 team league, but there is a simple update you can make for it to work with fewer.

if you have a 10 team league for example, delete the records in the “Pitching Per Player” and “Batting Per Player” sections that correspond to the blank team. In the 10 team example, this would be the last two rows of each section.

Then your rank will work. Good luck!

Thanks, this will be a huge help at my draft. I’m trying to use the auction draft with the inflation, but can’t add the teams. We have 14. The formula is not the same as it is on the straight draft sheets. I added the teams and also added lines and copied the formulas on the war room pages. What am I doing wrong? The formula I see in validation is $BD$1:$BD$12. I tried changing this to 14 at the end, and it shows two more spots on the dropdown, but doesn’t populate the names.
