@xtremehulk: Either way you go it's fine. Longoria/Gonzalez is safer, Reyes and Longoria would have better value if Reyes is fine.

Just did a Yahoo draft yesterday, and took Hanley at #2 overall, then went Zimmerman and Sizemore with my next picks. Does that jibe with your thoughts on pairings?

PS – I couldn’t resist taking Reyes when he was still available at the bottom of the fourth round…

@Grey: Great post! I’m pick #2 in a 12 team roto 5×5 league where we replace Avg. with OPS. The guy picking 1st already said that he’s taking fat Albert so I’m obviously going to pick HanRam. I was debating between Kinsler and Zimm on the swing. Do you think this is too risky? My ideal plan would be HanRam, Kinsler, Morneau (maybe) although I’m hoping AGon is around in rd 3.

@Frogurt: I think you have way too many hitters on your bench, and your team's light on power, which isn't a good thing. I think your pitching's fine and Soto's great there. @peter: 1. Ha! 2. Damn. 3. I'd take Longoria there, raft pick or no draft pick. @Robert: It's not great, but if Howard was a great steal in the 2nd, I could see moving Fielder for Longoria or Wright.

Oops. Posted this on the previous section. I recently did a mock where I was picking 11th out of 12. Took Fielder in round 1 and found Howard still there in round 2. My thought was I would have two power bats that no other team could match. Not such a good idea?

Three items:

1) If Razzball is considering opening a Curling companion site (curling.razzball.com?), but looking for contributors, let me know.

2) Eric Karabell just wrote that Granderson will hit AT LEAST 35 HR in 2010. This now guarantees he hits no more than 23 and is a SELL.

3) In a long-term keeper league, I’ve got Pujols, Miguel Cabrera and Braun as my big 3. Is it wrong for me to consider trading Cabrera for the likes of Jose Reyes or Longoria? We currently have an IF where Cabrera will be parked this year. But I have *no* 3B or SS to speak of. I’m thinking of offering Cabrera for Longoria + a draft pick (equivalent of 10 or 11th round, first 9 are keepers, so there’s usually decent value available in those rounds). Does this make sense? Would it (still) make sense sans draft pick? Tell me if I’m wrong leaning Longoria over Reyes; I’m worried about Reyes’ health, plus I can pick up other speedy SB threats at SS on the cheap. Sorry to ask w/ so many layers and not just yes/no.

What do you think? I punted Catcher like you said and got Soto in the 16th round. Not bad. I held off as long as I could without completely killing my pitching options. Yadier was still available in the 23rd round.

Think Tulo – you don’t like to build a team around Tulo in your first 12 picks of the draft – last years numbers were good at weak position
