Can't wait for the H2H stuff Grey. Would love to compare ideas you have with others and my own.

Good job, love the site. Love the photo you use, it's resembles the guy who always in an America's most wanted reenactment.

All joking aside, would you consider Arod over Hanely Ram. at #2 in H2H. I think 3B is shallower that SS this season and since you can traditionally find speed at the SS position late in drafts.

Curious Grey/Anyone: Wouldn't it be better if fantasy leagues adopt a standard for OF's? Say LF, CF, RF instead of just OF? Add more value, stops people from waiting in drafts for OF's, and I think adds more strategy just because it's more positions.

@Tony: I actually think drafting from the 12th spot is the best draft position this year. You've assembled a pretty good team here but having both Cabrera and Pierre in your starting lineup may leave you vulnerable in some cats...you are also banking pretty heavily on guys like Bruce, Quentin, Davis and Montero, who all have question marks...love your top three pitchers, might have gone for someone more steady at the four slot before grabbing Sanchez for the fifth.

@floridamach1: That's a pretty deep 10 team league, but you have too many bench hitters. You should have about 290 homers on your team, I count about 200. You do have enough speed though. Also, your average might be a slight issue. Your pitching pretty stacked. Nice trade of Davis/Hamels/Coghlan.

You don't have enough speed without Pierre stealing 50, which he could do but you really don't want Pierre in your outfield. He's a gaping hole for power. I do like the front side of your offense. Overall, I think it's a contender. Not terrible by any means.

@Eddy: we do 32 in my league, and they were pushing for 40, but if you go too high it makes it so pitching strong which is DUMB.... honestly in roto i found real quick last yr its a totally diffrent ballgame, people who are enfatuated with names go down, i dealt Braun second half for two solid pieces and raked, braun had a down 2nd half and the guys i acquired really helped me move up... in H2H i dont see that happening, maybe but not as much as roto.... more than anything i'm really starting to appreciate roto, its a different beast that i like and want to get better at.....

If you're looking at an innings limit i'd set it somewhere inthe 30's... its makes an owner have to throw 6 sp's at least, you have to think most sp's will get 6 innings, so 6x6 is 36, but then you have your few that go over and under.... 32 is a good # but maybe slightly under what it should/could be...

by the way i love getting Pocket Q's my first hand in a HUGE tourney and losing to a DONKEY who calls my all in with KQ preflop.....

We can keep 13. For my last spot, do I keep Seth Smith at $4, or trade him for Matt Lindstrom at $3? Smith I think has more chance to have value, but Lindstrom is boom or bust.

i think i would draft sean rodriquez before desmond jennings. sean has a god chance to make the team out of spring training and may soon qualify in the middle infield. who knows if jennings will catch a break this year. the rays are stingy when it comes to the clock.

Haha, I definitely feel ya on the roto way of thinking. I discovered this site late December and since it's geared towards roto, that's the way I've been molded to think!

And I agree on the fact that you gotta pick up guys who are the closest to 5 category contributors as you can. That's Why i take guys like Werth (4 cat.) Grandy (4 cat.) and Pence (5 cat.) early on.

Idk, I have a feeling I wont do amazing this year in my RCL because the whole IP limit has me worried quite a bit.

Btw, my innings requirement is 21 IP. I think I may raise it a bit because no one had a problem reaching it last season. What's the next "interval"? Suggestion?

I know in H2H I usually just set my guys and leave it at that (unless it's some horrific match up). Apparently for roto I'll have to pick and choose carefully who i start, making me wonder if drafting 7 pitchers is wise.

@ThePoonTycoon:
I see where you're coming from, but the thing is I get OBSESSED in the season man. As sad as it may be, I have a lot of free time and come baseball season I spend a lot of it on fantasy baseball. Plus, I want to feel more hands-on, especially with picks ups of FA who get called up etc etc.

However, I can see if someone is in a league where people work normal day jobs/have children/ etc., a weekly lineup is more beneficial.
