I’ve got that sinking feeling on Chris Davis. Holy hell, I knew he’d come with a lot of K’s but there were supposed to be some hits mixed in too. He’s probably headed to my bench until I see improvement and if he’s not careful, he’ll be headed to the bench in Texas too.

Such is the life of the save vulture. @Yanks Farm?: I'd play Morales over LaRoche. @john: I'd take Franklin over Lyon. @BKK: Ray's eh right now. Johnson's not much better though. @cubbies299: Eh, Batista's pretty terrible too. @JavaBeanHead: Inge is terrible outside of 2 catcher leagues. I like the two you mention more.

Inge, you guys like him? Interesting case. He made some adjustments to swing in off season. He hits better when he plays at 3B, which he will be at all year I think. He didn’t like going from catcher to 3b last year. This stuffs is just from stuffs I’ve read. What say you? you like him over Hernandez or Shoppach? What do you see him topping out at?

@Baron Von Vulturewins: I mat regret it tomorrow, but I just dropped Ray for Uehara. He can pitch against the Nats, we'll see how he does against the Yanks. Feel free to ridicule, but I just can't get into another DET pitcher. Already have Verlander...eeeeeeeeeeccccchh!

@BKK: You mean Chris Ray? Yeah, he's droppable in all but the super-deepest leagues. He may yet close down the line but that will be several Sherrill meltdowns from now. @BKK: It's 0-fer-8. Don't sweat it. If he went hitless in two games in July you wouldn't even notice. Two words, people: Edwin. Jackson. If I hadn't dropped Ray for Mr. Good Face yesterday, I'd be dropping him for E-Jax today.

@Zebo: These early days are tough watching as you look at this miserable stat lines. Carlos started out 1 for 8 last year and a bunch of 1 for 4's before he started to get it going. He is a pretty consistent .300 hitter so don't sweat it.

Rotowire is suggesting that Jim Johnson will be setting up for Sherrill now after one bad outing…you think? Is he worth hanging onto? I know the Baron dropped him, I was going to wait but the are other things I’d like to do and Ray is kind of crampin’ my style. I’d hate to give up on him after one bad outing against the Yankees.

Thoughts anyone?

The Napoli situation is getting annoying.. drop him in a 12 team one catcher league for someone like Navarro or Salty? I like Napoli better but if he’s going to split with Mathis like this I’d rather grab Navarro.
